~ My research interest is in the application of computational design to additive manufacturing. During this time, I have used computational design methods to design lattice structures such as body-centred cubic, face-centred cubic, simple cubic and diamond-like lattices in different arrangements and have completed structural performance simulations and real-world compression tests on samples made of stainless steel with laser powder bed fusion process.

~ As a product designer, I completed the redesign of the handle for the Patient Controlled Analgesia pump. As a new clinical concept,
Patient Controlled Analgesia responds quickly to the changing needs of patient analgesia and reduces analgesic delays.
To accommodate the new programmable electronic pump and to reduce patient mis-touch, the number of buttons was increased from one to three in accordance with "Pain->Very Pain->Extremely Pain" and the corresponding drug dosage.
~ Due to an increase in patient capacity at the commissioning hospital, the original IV monitoring system was no longer fit for purpose and I redesigned the web interface of the system.
The focus was on increasing the capacity of the single screen for bed information and adding the three states of "empty,
infusion in progress and occupied"; the patient cards were redesigned, with a focus on introducing alert prompts and remaining fluid warnings;
and the inclusion of contraindication queries for dispensing information and a user information management system to accommodate the increase in new nurse recruits.
